The video for the first single “Famous” from his album, “The Life of Pablo,” debuted Friday at an event in Inglewood, Calif. It reportedly features several celebrities, including West, sleeping together naked.
Last night [Friday, June 24] Kanye West revealed the video for his controversial track “Famous” live in Los Angeles.
The video, which shows static famous bodies lying closely in a bed, features 12 very interesting but different celebrities.
Kanye West and his wife Kim Kardashian lie in the middle of the bed, they are surrounded by other familiar faces, including George Bush, Anna Wintour, Donald Trump, Rihanna, Chris Brown, Taylor Swift, Ray J, Amber Rose, Caitlyn Jenner and Bill Cosby.
In true Kanye style, he leaves you uncertain which bodies are real and which were not.
Although the track stops halfway through the video and the focus becomes on revealing the faces of the naked bodies, The Life of Pablo rapper recently revealed to Vanity Fair he sought his wife’s approval for “Famous.”
He explained, ” [I say] a lot of lines other wives would not allow a husband to say. But my wife also puts up photos that other husbands wouldn’t let them put up.
The video, which he also mentioned took three months to shoot, will be exclusive to Tidal for one week.
Due to popular demand of Mr West’s music video premiere,
he ended up screening the video twice in one night for $25 dollars. Not bad for a side hustle.
