Kylie Jenner is taking center stage. The model and longtime reality TV personality is set to headline her own docuseries, Life With Kylie, for E!, The Hollywood Reporterhas confirmed.
The eight-episode series, which will premiere this summer, will explore her friendships, familial relationships and her work life, which includes her wildly successful lip kits and social media persona.
Jenner will also serve as an exec producer on the series, which hails from Keeping Up with the Kardashians producers Bunim/Murray Productions and Ryan Seacrest Productions. Ryan Seacrest, Gil Goldschein, Jeff Jenkins, Farnaz Farjam, Andrea Metz and Jenner’s mom, Kris Jenner, will also exec produce.
“The last couple years have been such an incredible journey with the support of my fans. This show will allow me to give them a peek inside all of the exciting things I am working on, as well as some personal time with friends,” said Kylie Jenner.
Added Jeff Olde, E! evp of programming and development. “Kylie’s beauty, business savvy and fashion icon status have made her one of the most famous and successful young women on the planet. Kylie has achieved so much at such a young age and we know the E! audience will be thrilled now that she is ready to share an inside look at her everyday life.”
This is the latest spinoff of the long-running Keeping Up With the Kardashians. Others include I Am Cait, Rob and Chyna, Kourtney and Khloe Take the Hamptons, Kourtney and Kim Take New York, Kourtney and Kim Take Miami and Khloe and Lamar. Of all the recent offshoots, only Rob and Chyna is currently in production. Khloe Kardashian also hosts and exec produces the network’s Revenge Body.
As Kylie and her sister and fellow model Kendall Jenner have grown up in front of the cameras and begun their own successful careers, questions have persisted about the youngest Jenner siblings getting their own possible spinoff(s).
Network president Adam Stotsky left the door open for future iterations when speaking with THR last month. “The family has no shortage of ideas and so I could very well see us doing more with them in the future.”
Keeping Up With the Kardashians is in the midst of its 13th season and 10-year anniversary on the network. The franchise has since grown from a half-hour to an hourlong original. The series also remains an important part of E!’s brand, with Kim Kardashian West heavily featured in NBCUniversal’s upfronts ads unveiled last week.
In addition to her longtime role on the series, Jenner’s other ventures include her mobile app, launched in 2015, and a mobile game with her sister, titled Kendall & Kylie. The sisters also have collaborated on a clothing line, Kendall + Kylie. Kylie launched her own makeup line, Kylie Cosmetics, in 2016 that includes her successful line of lip kits. Most recently, Jenner made headlines this past weekend for crashing a high school prom in Sacramento, Calif. with her friend Jordyn Woods, who will also be featured in the docuseries.
Other upcoming unscripted series at the network include So Cosmo, which promises a candid look at the team behind Cosmopolitan magazine, What Happens at the Abbey, which centers on the famed West Hollywood establishment and Second Wives Club.
