She seems to have moved on from her spat with ex Future.
On Friday, Ciara’s legal team filed documents in the Superior Court in Fulton County, Georgia to end the $15 million defamation suit against her 33-year-old rapper baby daddy, according to TMZ.
The 31-year-old Body Party singer had originally filed the suit back in February in response to several comments Future made publicly about her parenting abilities.
The comments surfaced in the midst of a contentious custody dispute over their two-year-old son Future Zahir Wilburn.
In the original suit, she cited a radio interview where the Low Life singer talked about a photo showing Ciara’s new husband Russell Wilson pushing baby Future in a stroller.
‘She probably set him [Russell] up. You letting them catch that photo. Leave my son out of all the publicity stunts,’ Future said in the interview.
Ciara also called him out for some offensive tweets that commented on her parenting abilities and state of mind.
‘This b**ch got control problems,’ tweeted the controversial recording artist, ‘I gotta go through lawyers to see baby future … the f***ery for 15k a month.’
TMZ also reported that the suit was dismissed with prejudice, meaning that it cannot be refiled in the future.
Sources indicated that Future didn’t end up paying Ciara anything for the dismissal, possibly indicating the duo are ready to move forward more amicably.
Meanwhile, Ciara seems to be concentrating on her new life.
She recently shared her first selfie of the year on January 1st, which showed the beauty’s growing baby bump draped in a white Seattle Seahawks jersey in honor of her husband Russell, who is a quarterback for the popular NFL team.
