Scarlett Johansson Calls Ivanka Trump 'Cowardly' and 'Uninspired'

Scarlett Johansson isn’t holding her punches in her feud with Ivanka Trump.
The Ghost in the Shell actress took her turn on Saturday Night Live last month to impersonate a member of the Trump family.

Johansson appeared as Ivanka in an advertisement for “Complicit,” a “fragrance for the woman who can stop all this … but won’t.”

And now, the 32-year-old actress is taking another swing at the First Daughter, calling Ivanka “cowardly” for not standing up to some of her father’s policies.

Speaking at the Women in the World Summit on Thursday, Johansson addressed comments made earlier this week by Ivanka, who said, “If being complicit is wanting to be a force for good and to make a positive impact, then I’m complicit.”

Johansson addressed Ivanka’s refusal to publicly speak out against Trump’s policies. Ivanka – the newly appointed special assistant to the president – claimed she doesn’t know what it means to be complicit.

“It was very knotty. You can’t have it each ways that,” Johansson same. “If you are taking employment as a public advocate, then you have got to advocate in public.”

The actress additionally had problems with Ivanka’s claims that she stands up to Trump behind closed doors.

“I thought to myself, ‘Well, that’s empowering,’” Johansson same. “How old style, this concept that behind nice|an excellent|a good} man could be a great girl. What concerning being before of that person or next to it person?

Powerful girls usually get involved with this concept that they’re aiming to be seen during this unforgiving light-weight. Screw that. … It’s therefore uninspired and {really} really funky. and that i was therefore defeated by that interview she gave yesterday.”

Johansson believes it’s Ivanka’s responsibility, being within the “unique” position she’s in, to talk up.

“She has a chance to create an enormous impact simply by being vocal,” the Avengers star aforesaid. “She’s all right spoken, good and intelligent lady and interesting. It baffles Maine.”
