OnePlus 6 copied iPhone X, But it has also improved

OnePlus 6 copied iPhone X

Most awaited phone OnePlus 6 has released today. OnePlus has a history of copying Apple iPhone designs.

The idea of Android manufacturers plagiarizing Apple’s iPhone design is obviously nothing new.

But last year’s OnePlus 5 is noteworthy because it is one of the most blatant iPhone copies we’ve seen in quite some time.

In short, OnePlus 5 is iPhone 7 Plus running Android. I mean, look at this thing. It not only has the same design, OnePlus even copied elements of Apple software design, such as the camera UI.

This is particularly ironic because the OnePlus 5 also duplicates the iPhone 7 Plus’s dual-lens rear camera and uses the second lens for the exact same function as the Apple iPhone: optical zoom and portrait mode effects.

In 2018, OnePlus reversed something. A little bit. Yes, you will notice that one of the first things about the new OnePlus 6 is that it has a cutout at the top of the display, which is the same shape as the iPhone X.

OnePlus 6 is one of many Android phones that have copied the iPhone X display design – you can see 20 Android-based iPhone X copycats here.

OnePlus 6 has other ways to get inspiration from Apple, but this phone is also an important way for Apple iPhone X design.

Apple iPhone X first look

This is the first time in history. We have discovered that a group of people who love Apple’s iPhone design even surpass Apple’s fans: Android mobile phone designers. In 2018, Android mobile phone designers around the world clearly decided to take a vacation for a year.

Why spend all your time, energy and money on designing your own mobile phone when Apple can do all the heavy work for you? We have seen countless iPhone counterfeiters over the years, but we have never seen so many Android phone manufacturers copy Apples at once.

If it is not Apple’s iPhone X, the new OnePlus 6 display will not have a gap. In other words, we have already seen some Android phones, which are top-down iPhone X copy machines.

OnePlus 6 may have a gap in iPhone X, but this is one of the hottest examples we see on Android phones, which can refresh Apple’s display design.

The rest of the phone is not like iPhone X at all. In fact, it looks like someone has photographed the front of the iPhone X on the back of the LG G7 ThinQ… This is a phone that also stole the Apple iPhone X display design, so I think people might say OnePlus 6 Looks like LG G7 ThinQ.

There’s another way OnePlus might get inspiration from Apple. Actually, it’s a bit weird. Smartphones with glass backs have existed for many years, but it was not until 2017 that Apple turned the design to full glass designs and added wireless charging support for the iPhone 8, iPhone 8 Plus and iPhone X.

This is a design decision Because the current wireless charging technology cannot work efficiently through aluminum, it must be born.

It is purely coincidental that I believe that OnePlus decided to adopt a new design for this year’s OnePlus 6, while also using a glass back.

What is strange? Well, OnePlus decided to switch from metal to more fragile glass on the OnePlus 6, but it didn’t add wireless charging support to the phone.

Of course, this decision is a little strange, but the end result is a new flagship smartphone that looks great.

OnePlus 6’s design is a little special, I believe it is a major improvement on the Apple iPhone X. This is what I discussed on the website several times in the past: size.

The 5.8-inch display on the iPhone X is somewhat misleading. Yes, this phone’s beautiful OLED actually measures 5.8 inches diagonally.

However, the narrow aspect ratio of iPhone X’s 19.5:9 means that the total surface area of the display is not very large. In fact, the 5.5-inch iPhone 8 Plus actually has a larger display than the 5.8-inch iPhone X.

The OnePlus display on the OnePlus 6 has a diagonal size of 6.28 inches and is very good. The aspect ratio is roughly the same at 19:9, but the increased size makes all the differences in the world even bigger.

IPhone X can sometimes feel a bit crowded, and the font may be a bit small on some pages. At the same time, everything on the beautiful large display of the OnePlus 6 is clearly visible.

As I mentioned on the website a few times – most recently in an article titled “May 2018 may be the first year when I don’t buy a flagship iPhone” – it will be a tricky task for me and other innumerable iPhone users.

The year is there who is on the same boat. Finding the right balance between screen size and overall handset size is very difficult.

Apple’s upcoming iPhone X Plus is expected to have a 6.5-inch screen, which I think will make the phone too large to use comfortably with one hand.

It is speculated that this phone will have a 6.1-inch iPhone model and may be the perfect size.

But this type of liquid crystal display will replace OLED, less impressive specifications, and may even have a “chin” bezel at the bottom (this may become a destructive act).

The OnePlus 6 has a 6.28-inch display and is very large. It is narrower and shorter than the iPhone 8 Plus, so it is more comfortable to use with one hand.

Even so, I still don’t mind if this phone is a little bit narrower, and the 6.1-inch iPhone may fit this bill.

Now it only needs to wait for a compromise between people who decide to choose Apple’s upcoming mid-range iPhone model.
